PlayBasic is full featured game creation language for widows. It was designed in such a way to make it easy for beginners and yet still be powerful enough to produce exciting games. It achieves this via including as much inbuilt functionality as possible, letting you focus on constructing your game, rather than learning all the techniques behind it like other tools. Making Play Basic a great gateway to learning programming for those budding game designers out there.

PlayBasic focuses on compatibility in the broader sense, over exploiting the latest DirectX 9 hardware. This means that your system doesn't require a 3D video card to use Play Basic.. This ensures the games or programs that your create, will be work on as many systems as possible, as low as DirectX 3.0. Allowing you to share your programs at will. The preview / demo editions can not create executables however. But your encouraged to share your source codes with other users on our forums.

The package comes with a comprehensive programming environment called PlayWrite as well hundreds of examples and Help files to get you started. If that's not enough, We are always open to hearing your feedback on ways to improve PlayBasic for you! We want PlayBasic to be as much fun and as flexible possible.
